Nature Tourism

The post of the Professor of Nature Tourism is shared by the Finnish Forest Research Institute's Rovaniemi Research Station, the Finnish Forest and Park Service and University of Lapland. The field of research and tuition covers the development of tourism based on forest ecosystems and its area-economic impacts, conflicts between nature tourism and other forms of using forest ecosystems and their reconciling, tourism use, development and planning of conservation areas, taking into account of the sustainability of ecosystems in tourism and method-related and methodological issues in research into nature tourism.
