Abstract review in progress.
Call for papers
We are pleased to invite you to a conference discussing issues related to forest recreation and nature tourism serving urban societies in Europe. This conference provides an excellent opportunity for discussion between practitioners, policy-makers and scientists as well as for learning about the final results of four years European co-operation within COST Action E33 ‘Forests recreation and nature tourism’.
We also invite you to submit an abstract on your research and development activities that are of relevance to the theme. The Scientific Committee will make a selection of abstracts for oral presentation during the parallel sessions. There will also be an opportunity to present posters. Abstracts for both oral and poster presentations should be submitted by February 4, 2008, by surface mail or e-mail (as e-mail attachments in .doc or .pdf format). Abstracts should contain no more than 300 words.
Please send your abstract to:Prof. Liisa Tyrväinen
Authors will be notified of the decision of the scientific committee by 28 February 2008. At the same time authors of accepted abstracts will receive special instructions for the preparation of the oral and/or for the poster presentation. All the abstracts are published in an abstract book of the conference. Authors have also an opportunity to submit full papers for a special issue of Urban Forestry & Urban Greening. Papers should present original scientific work not published elsewhere or interesting examples of innovative practice and all papers will undergo full peer review. Final versions of full papers should be submitted online at http://ees.elsevier.com/ufug no later than 15 June 2008. Authors should follow Urban Forestry & Urban Greening's instructions for authors, which are available on the same website, under 'Guide for Authors'.
The official language of the Conference is English.
