Registration information"Obs! Registration is still open!" The registration fee for the meeting is 100 €, and it covers all sessions and social programme (guided tour at Lusto Forestry Museum or at Metla’s Arboretum on 10.9.), as well as lunches on 10.-11.9 and the dinner on 10.9. Please, inform organisers in the registration form if you need a special diet. Participants have to take care of their own travelling and accommodation - information on traffic connections and local hotels can be found on these www-pages. The organisers can provide limited local transportation from/to hotels and the meeting venue. If you need local transportation, please state it in the registration form.
Poster presentations on research and developmental projects related to vegetative propagation of conifers, as well as company stands are welcome. The posters and stands are present through the whole meeting and in the meeting programme there is time reserved for them. Please give a title of your poster or stand in the registration form. Further information on available space for posters and stands will be send to the participants interested in to present them.
Please, fill the registration form available on these www-pages carefully and send it to the organisers by 30.6.2008. After being registered you will receive a bill that you should pay by 31.7.2008. In the case that you are registered and not able to attend to the meeting, please inform organisers as soon as possible.

The meeting is organised by Finnish Forest Research Institute (Metla), Punkaharju Research Unit, and supported by GENECAR, Nordic Centre of Advanced Research in Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding and The Foundation for Forest Tree Breeding (pages in Finnish). The meeting venue, Lusto, is situated at the heart of Saimaa lake district and right next to the Metla’s Unit as well as Punkaharju Nature Conservation Area.
Travelling informationPunkaharju lies 300 kilometres from Helsinki, the capital city, and the nearest town, Savonlinna, is about a half an hour’s drive away. Punkaharju can be easily reached by train and bus, and Savonlinna also has an airport.
AccomodationThere are two local hotels providing comfortable accommodation with reasonable cost. The participants are required to reserve their own accommodation directly from the hotels. Both are relatively close to the meeting venue, the hotel Valtionhotelli being within walking distance and the Kruunupuisto Rehabilitation Centre a little more far away -please, see the map of the area.
The organisers of the meeting can provide limited local transportation from/to hotels and meeting avenue; please inform on your need of transportation in the registration form. For persons having a car, hotels at Savonlinna (30 km from Punkaharju) and nearby are also an option. |
