About SSFE

 >

The Scandinavian Society of Forest Economics (SSFE) was established in 1958 under the name of Nordic Forest Economics Seminar. The SSFE is one of the research network groups connected to the Nordic Forest Research Co-operation Committee (SNS).

The objectives of the SSFE are:

  1. Promote co-operation between forest economists in the Nordic countries.
  2. Promote planning and accomplishment of common Nordic research in forest economics and closely related areas.
  3. Promote co-operation on common Nordic actions for higher education in forest economics and closely related areas.

In order to fulfil these objectives the SSFE organises biennial conferences and working group events.
