in the Northern Europe

Joensuu 8-9 November 2007

» Лесной форум Баренц региона по-русски

Forest industry is becoming more and more global. Eastern Europe, South-America and Far East have become serious competitors for Northern Europe, where the economic significance of forest industry has traditionally been strong. The objective of the Barents Forest Forum is to share perspectives and gather ideas on how to ensure the preconditions necessary for future investments in forest sector in the Northern Europe. These preconditions include ensuring the sustainable supply of raw material, energy and labour, well functioning logistics, application and development of new technologies in forest management and wood procurement, and development of value chains for wood and know-how in forestry.

You are warmly welcome to Joensuu to share your views and take part in the high profile seminar and interesting forest excursion!
