Guide and hiking services

The public has free access to research forests. The arboretum, other cultivations of exotic tree species and the Kokonharju primeval forest area are situated to the north of the main road, not far from the research unit.

Brochures of hiking trails and other sites of interest are available at the Punkaharju research unit.

Presentations of the research unit and the research forest are arranged for groups of professionals and foresters. Also Lusto, the Finnish Forest Museum, arranges guided tours in the research area.
