11th National Forest Inventory (NFI11)
Sampling design
The sampling design of NFI11 follows the design of NFI9, i.e., systematic cluster sampling is mainly applied. The parameters of cluster sampling – the distance between clusters, the shape of a cluster, the number of field plots in a cluster and the distance between plots within a cluster – varies in different parts of the country according to spatial variation of forests and density of road network.
