Test sites
Six different test areas representing mainly boreal or subboreal forests
have been chosen to the study.
The size of each site is 100 km x 100 km.
The sites are located in
- Porvoo, Finland
- Teijo, Finland
- Inari, Finland
- Sortavala, Russia
- Hebei, China
- Whitecourt, Canada
From these sites, research has been carried out mainly with Porvoo site
so far. In addition, a Sodankylä test site in North Finland from another
project has been utilized.
