Research services

The Pallasjärvi Research Forest has two employees. They act as assistants in research-related field work and participate in long-term follow-up studies.

Hiking services

On the easy 3-km Karhunpolku trail in the vicinity of highway 79 at Sätkenä, hikers can learn about the development of forests in the boreal coniferous forest zone. A campfire site which can be reached also by wheel chair in summertime is located in the shade of a birch stand.

The Pallasjärvi and Sätkenä areas have forestry roads which are trafficable only in summer.
