Forests and Human Health

IUFRO’s Task Force for the period 2007–2011

The objective of the programme is to promote awareness of the interplay of forests and human health and to support the dialogue and information exchange between various players in the forest sector and health professionals.

In 2008, the Task Force organised, for example, a research seminar in Morocco , and a seminar and exhibition in Rome in connection with the European Forest Week.

Preparations for producing guidelines for HIA, the Health Impact Assessment, were launched with the COHAB organisation and some other partners in connection with projects that are having a changing effect on the forests.
