Terms of use

1. End-user licence

Installment of MOTTI Stand Simulator (Software Product) indicates your acceptance of the terms of this agreement, and creates a legal and binding agreement between you and The Finnish Forest Research Institute (Metla). If you do not agree with the terms and conditions of this agreement, you may not use or copy this Software Product and should remove any installed Software from your computers.

You may not resell, rent, lease, sub-license or distribute the product software or its components without a written permission by Metla. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify or alter the Software Product. Furthermore, you may not publish or otherwise distribute the results and analyses produced using the Software Product without a written permission by Metla.

2. Registration

You may install multiple copies of the Software Product. However, after trial period you must acquire and dedicate a license for the Software Product for each computer on which the Software Product is used. The software product requires a free registration at the latest after 180 days trial period. Registered users receive a key-code, which is active for a fixed period, usually one year.

3. End-user support

The Software Product is provided on “as it is” basis. Hence, Metla provides no official end-user support. However, we do encourage you to send feedback and inquiries by email to motti.metinfo@metla.fi. If requested, we will contact you at our earliest convenience.

4. System requirements

For the Software Product to function, following system requirements must be met: Windows 2000 or Windows XP operating system, display resolution at least 1024 x 768 pixels, at least 20 MB of free hard disk space. The user must have write -privileges to the directory where Software Product is installed.
