What is Phenology?

Phenology is a branch of science looking into the rhythm and seasonal variation of biological phenomena

The phenology is a branch of science focusing on the rhythm of biological phenomena and the effect of various factors on this rhythm. Finland is an excellent country in which to apply phonological studies because the seasons of the year are so distinct and the rhythm to be perceived in nature proceeds south to north in the spring in a wavelike fashion and then in the autumn from north to south. Further, the country's geobotanic scope from Central European herb-rich forests to almost arctic tundra offers countrywide phonological research an extremely interesting setting.
