Kukkola farm is home to a host of attractions: the home museum in the main building, the stone cowshed, the arboretum, the hut, Katri´s forest trail, the sample garden and Hiljainen Huone (the Quiet room). In addition Tarja Malinen, an artist living in the main building, holds her summer art exhibition in the granary. On 22 May 2009 some tree seedlings were planted near the parking place. Metla donated some hardwood tree seedlings in celebration of the City of Joensuu's 160th anniversary.
Main Building
It is intended that the old buildings and courtyard will maintain their original appearance. In the home museum in the main building, there is an exhibition on the Kukkonen dynasty and the history of the farm. The hall is home to a large library. Part of the main building remains in residential use. |

Stone Cowshed
This cowshed, built in the late 1800s, has been used for training activities. Part of the cowshed has been converted into a stable. This year an area of the cowshed will be renovated to create a meeting room used, for example, as a training and exhibition place. |

Arboretum
Wood Park, Antti's arboretum, was established in 1992-1997. The park has more than 50 different tree species, plus their variants and special shapes. This area of approximately 1.5 ha houses over 400 trees of 14 species. The trees are grouped by genus. |

Hut
Near the parking place there is a hut in the midst of a dense spruce forest. With seating for 70 people, this hut is ideal for various events. |

Katri's Forest Trail
The parking place is the starting point for Katri's forest trail. Signposts along the trail bear detailed information on interesting sights, such as hybrid aspen, beach pine, a badger's sett, the effects of forest thinning and some tree measurements. The trail is approximately 2.5 km long and is marked with red-topped posts. |

Sample Garden
Next to the main building is a garden. North Karelia Martat ry is responsible for the garden's design and events. In the summer time there are evenings open to all, in which you can participate in garden work and receive tips on gardening issues. Herbs, perennials and useful plants form the main groups in the Kukkola garden. The number of varieties varies slightly each year. The harvest is usually divided among the voluntary workers. |

Hiljainen Huone, Quiet Room
A Quiet Room is located in an open field near the courtyard. This memorial to Antti Kukkonen was built in 2000-2001. |
