Forest Research Stamps

The 20th world congress of IUFRO, the International Union of Forest Research Organizations, will be organized in Tampere, from 6 to 12 August 1995. During the congress a four-stamp booklet will be issued with the motif of the forest and forest research. The stamps, stamp booklet, First Day Cover, and cancellation have been designed by Erik Bruun.

The stamps Cancellation

The designer has depicted the most important Finnish tree species in the stamps: birch, pine and spruce. The fourth stamp is illustrating micro-propagation of pine from the needle facicle.

Stamps and First Day Covers are on sale in the Congress Post Office in the U-Building. On Monday, 7 August the First Day of Issue cancellation will be used.
