Join your hosts, representatives of the City of Tampere, for a nice welcoming party outside the city centre. You will have an opportunity to meet old and make new friends at a buffet dinner. Transportation to the party and back will be provided.

Wednesday afternoon is reserved for the In-Congress Tour, and there are no other items on the Congress Programme. The buses will leave in front of Tampere Hall. The route will somewhat vary but the programme is basically the same for everybody. An early registration guarantees participation, which is limited to 2,000 persons.
The tour will give the delegates and accompanying persons an overview of Finnish forestry. A visit to a Finnish farm will introduce small-scale farm forestry - an internationally unique form of forestry which is common in Scandinavia. The programme also includes harvesting technology or forest industry .
You will have an opportunity to see Finnish traditions and culture and enjoy the beautiful Finnish lake scenery on a boat tour. A traditional Finnish supper will be served during the trip.
The last get-together before the Closing Ceremonies and the Post-Congress Excursions is on Friday evening. You can enjoy good food and exciting programme. Later in the evening, Tampere Hall will be converted into a ballroom. The party will be hosted by the Congress Organising Committee.
