The authors and titles of voluntary papers will be listed in the Congress Report, published after the Congress. Each session organiser must supply this information to the Speakers' Service.
The abstracts to be published in the Congress Proceedings must strictly follow Model for an Abstract . The abstract must include all the items indicated in the model format. It is important that the full address of the author is included in the abstract. On the diskette label you must indicate your name, IUFRO research unit (Subject Group, Project Group or Working Party), and the type of computer and word processing programme you have used.
The authors of invited papers are asked to bring a copy of the invited paper in full-length to the Speakers' Service located in the main building of the University. The paper must be completely finished with all figures and tables. The full-length manuscripts must follow the general guidelines of IUFRO papers. These guidelines were published in IUFRO News 2/1994 and they are also available from the Congress Secretariat .
The copy of each invited paper will be stored in the archives of the IUFRO Secretariat. Papers can be ordered from their authors. The addresses of authors will be included in the Proceedings. If you wish to distribute the copies of your paper in the Congress, bring enough of them with you to the session concerned.
It is recommended that the full-length papers should be submitted for publication in international or national forest research journals. The IUFRO officers may wish to collect related manuscripts for an eventual joint publication, for example, as a special issue of a journal.
Each delegate will receive the Proceedings in the Congress Pack delivered at the Registration in Tampere. Extra copies may be purchased at the time of Congress at the price of FIM 100 per volume. After the Congress, Proceedings are available only from IUFRO Secretariat.
Papers presented in Inter-Divisional Sessions will be published after the Congress in a special IUFRO issue. This issue will be sent to delegates after the Congress.
