1400 Departure from Tampere Hall by bus to Urjala (70 km)

* Visit to a tenant habitation and a modern farm and getting acquainted with a modern farm with multiple goals
* Research and development in improving a farmer´s work in forestry.

Travel to Turku (70 km)

Dinner at Turku medieval castle

0830 Clearing of the group for departure at harbour

1000 Departure from Turku by ferry to Stockholm

* Seminar on private forestry and rural development during the trip

1900 Arrival at Stockholm

Continuing of the excursion by bus to Sala (125 km)

Travel to Sätra Brunn (10 km)

* Visit the old Sala silver mine

Travel to Garpenberg (60 km)

* Presentation of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SUAS) in Garpenberg and introductory lecture: Research in small-scale forestry
* Demonstration of equipment for private forestry

Travel to Horndal (15 km)

* Visit a small crayfish farm.

Outdoor barbecue.

* Demonstration of planting and harvesting machines for energy forests

Travel to Ekshärad (70 km)

* Small-scale sawmilling and visiting a small private sawmill.

Travel to Torsby (20 km)

* Presentation of the Forestry Museum

* Presentation of the Forest Owners Associations extension service
Lunch at a farm in Gausdal
* Rural development policy in Norway. Farm tourism.
* Visit to Gausdal Bruk - a local sawmill which uses local timber.

Travel to Oslo (330 km in all during the day)

1830 Arrival at Oslo Fornebu airport. End of the excursion.
