Objectives

"Finland's national forest programme 2015" includes objectives to improve profitability of forestry by increasing forest holding size and by improving the structure of forest holdings. This development project is aiming at to coordinate existing activities in this field in order to collect best practices. In addition, evaluation studies are going to be carried out to analyze and improve present practices. The project will lead to detailed propositions including effectiveness analyzes to develop existing legislation, in order to enhance transfers of forest holdings to descendants and to improve holding structure.
