NORTHERN BOREAL FORESTS
Tools through research for the sustainable use of forests in the Barents Region

Interreg-Tacis 2006–2008

 >

The Northern boreal forests project is directed by the Kolari Research Unit of the Finnish Forest Research Institute (Metla). The project has two full-time employees, the project leader and a researcher. Approximately twenty researchers and specialists participate in the research work, mainly employees at partner organizations. Additionally, roughly the same number of assisting staff will be recruited. More than ten organizations are involved in the Northern boreal forests project.
