Objectives

The aim of the project is to develop the use of IT-applications in forestry societies’ forest service.

The objectives are:

to discover potential uses of SilvaGis-software and geographic information systems (GIS) in general as well as GPS and various software in supporting of operative action
to study and promote developing and implementation of GIS, GPS and various software
to promote information transfer and processing inside forestry society and between forestry society and other organizations.

General objectives are to intensify good management of private forests and wood production, improve cost efficiency of forest service, promote entrepreneurship and support developing of information systems.
