Objectives

The main goal of this project is to study and develop those characteristics of aspen and hybrid aspen which have a major impact to the quality of paper or to the environmental consequencies of paper manufacturing prosesses.

The short perspective goals is possible to divide: 1) to study the factors affecting the rootmass production 2) to study the factors affection the shoot and root formation of root cuttings 3) to establish a summertime planting experiment and to study the plant production - reforestation chain ofhybrid aspen 4) to study those genetical and physiological factors which affects to selection of superior genotypes 5) to study the clonal composition of natural aspen stands
