[  Suomeksi  |  Objectives  |  Project leader  |  Researchers  |  Metla Research  ]

Duration: 2012-2016
Research project group:

Objectives

Forest tree-associated and symbiotic fungi determine the ecological success of their host, especially in the early stage of development. Therefore the aim of this project is to evaluate the significance of mycorrhizal fungal inoculations on the growth and health of Norway spruce seedlings. The development of a commercial fungal inoculum will be continued and applications in tree breeding are investigated.
