[  Suomeksi  |  Objectives  |  Project leader  |  Researchers  |  Metla Research  ]

Duration: 2007-2011   Keywords: Bioenergy, Biomass, Forest drainage, Greenhouse gas, Peatland forests, Restoration, Scrub land
Research Programme: Bioenergy from Forests

Objectives

The project aims at producing the knowledge for utilization of drained peatland forests that will be left outside production forestry in the future. The information that will be provided includes (1) areas and regional distribution, (2) volumes and biomasses of usable tree fractions, (3) after use alternatives and (4) greenhouse gas impacts of different after use options.
