Objectives
Aims of the planning project are 1) to establish the national, integrated project consortium and 2) to compile the project plan based on EOI "HEALTH FROM FORESTS".
Aims of the integrated research project will be: 1.Development of new functional and medical products from forest plants. 2.Strengthening the role of forests in human psychosocial well-being. 3.Enhancement of the collection and the use of non-woody forest products. 4.Reduction of environmental health risks in forest ecosystems. The aim of the planning project is also to create a detailed research application for the 6. framework programme of the European Community.
Results
COST action E39 'Forests, Trees and Human Health and Wellbeing' entered into force in February 2004.
