Research Programme: Alternatives of silvicultural practices in forest management and their effects on forest production


The objective is to develop methods to control stand structure, stand dynamics and total yield in stand growth predictions. New models for tree and stand structure and stand development will be developed. The models will be capable to describe a large scale of different silvicultural practices. A prediction system for site productivity as a function of site variables will also be developed. The prediction system will serve a possibility to compare productivity of different tree species on different sites over whole country.
