Objectives

The main objective of the project is to research the succeeding of public financing in forest improvement activity.

Results

The profitability of field afforestation, ditch-network maintenance and construction of forest roads has been estimated from the standpoint of the private forest owner. The economic influences of forest improvement activity and the economic and employment influences of Regional Forest Programmes have also been dealt. Further factors affecting NIPF owners' reforestation behavior have been studied.
