Forest statistical services on the Web

Forest Statistics Information Service maintains two forest-sector information systems on the Web, both of which belong to Metla's on-line forest information services (acronym Metinfo). Services are intended primarily for domestic users, as the applications are implemented in Finnish only.

Metinfo Statistical Database (Metinfo Tilastopalvelu). The database system comprises information on the same topics as is regularly published in the Forest Statistical Bulletins.The data include, among other things, roundwood purchases and prices, removals, and foreign trade in forest-based products. The system also includes PDF-format versions of the Statistical Yearbook of Forestry and Forest Finland in Brief.

Weekly statistics on roundwood trade are a speciality of the Metinfo Statistical Database. Every Tuesday, updated information on purchased volumes, and stumpage and delivery prices in non-industrial, private forestry are made available through the Net.

Metinfo Forest Owners' Service (Metinfo Metsänomistajapalvelu) provides users with the most recent facts on roundwood prices as well as information on other forest sector activities.
