Abstract: The document describes new environmental guidelines
for Finland's forest and environmental policy and for the practical
activities and research carried out by organisations under the
jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and Ministry
of the Environment, and to provide support for forestry-related
training and guidance. The programme is confirmed by the two ministries
as the strategy of sustainable forestry for Finland. (Concerning
the programme, there are also three annual follow-up reports and
a summation of the follow-up period 1995-98).
