Abstract: The article describes the present administration of, and different interest groups involved in Finnish forest policy formulation and implementation. International environmental awareness, market demands and Finland's commitments to international environmental conventions all led to the formulation of a new forest policy in the 1990s, a policy that was wider in scope than its predecessors. This has led to wider constellation of interest groups involved in forest policy formulation, too.
