Hello friends,
Yesterday in Barcelonas's newspapers was published an
article in which stand that the last huge fire in central
Catalonia (27.000 Ha) could be caused by a shortcircuit in
the Hi-tension line of the spanish power company FECSA.
That is absolutely sure (and all we know this from the first
day) is that the fire beginned very colse to the Hi-Tension
line. Now some specialists have found other reasons to
believe that the line could be the reason of this fire and
an analisys of the cable is being done.
So, I write this letter because I would like to know wheter
there is any ambiental authority in Europe who, supposing
that the results of the cable analisys finally where
positive, could make the company pay a indemnization to the
injured people, Information about contact addresses in Spain
will be of course very valuable too. I can speak a little of
German, Finnish, Italian, French and Japanese.
Excuse me if my tone is a little too agresive but take in
mind that here we had another big fire in 1994 (about 35.000
Ha) and the administration have still not carried out with
his own promises...
Kind regards,
Joan Ignasi
