Zealand and Chile, radiata pine plantations yield more than 20
m3/ha/yr, whilst eucalyptus plantations in Brazil produce an average
of 45 m3/ha/yr. The best clones under experimental conditions have
been reported to produce a staggering of 80 m3/ha/yr..."
This statement was made by the Executive director of the ITTO at
a CIFOR public forum in Tokyo.
