If you would like a good laugh, you could always inform with the remote
sensing programs called 'Trees' or 'Fire' of the JRC. We understand they
collected and interpreted precisely such data for many years.
Alternatively, there may be someone in SCOT who is knowledgeable on these
matters, as main contractors.
