I, for one, hope this is the right list for this discussion. I would be very
interested to understand more about fuelwood in developing countries. Is
there any hope of achieving sustainable fuelwood plantations in order to
reduce deforestation caused by subsistence fuelwood gathering? How can the
developed countries help with this? (Money, I know, but what technical
resources?) I understand that some Acacia species from Australia produce
food in their seeds and are also good fuelwood. What is the potential for
combining agroforestry with fuelwood production?
Sorry for so many questions but I hope this is a very promising area for
professionals to help reverse deforestation in the tropics.
