With the tremendous amount of stream degredation happening in Humboldt County, CA due to Maxxam clearcuts many of us could use the list of references that you were good enough to share. We are dealing with a Department of Forestry here who are in the Patrick Moore camp, wholly owned subsidiaries of the Maxxam Corp and other big logging companies. Results of this complicity are almost total loss of salmon habitat and , to date, at least 5 major watersheds "uncorrectable" in the words of CA. Dept. of Forestry due to major siltation. Surprisingly, roads when used in wet weather can produce as >much sediment load in a watershed Can I assume that you are refering to logging roads here?
