1. The Smithsonian Institution Mearuinr, Monitoring, and Assessing Biodiversity Program (MAB) is very pleased to announce the Smithsonian Environmnetal Leadership Course. This two week in persuasive communication skills and management strategies will give you the expertise you need to move policy makers and funding agencies to adopt and support your programs. It will be held at the Smithsonian's Conservation and Research Center (CRC) in Front Royal, Virginin, USA from 2-13 March 1998. 2. SI/MABs very popular international course "Biodiversity, Measuring, Monitoirng, and Research will be held 10 May - 12 June 1998 also at CRC. This intensive, five week course provides a unique opportunity for you to gain expertise in effective strategies for developing, carrying out, and maintaining long-term biodiversity programs. (Note: I had the honor of attending part of the session last year and reviewing the course material - it is excellent!
