I agree 100% with this.  This list has largely become the spouting grounds
for personal beliefs and opinions.  When serious questions are asked,
little or no useful info is ever gotten.

I have been considering starting a MODERATED discussion group on
silviculture and stand dynamics.  If there is interest in this please
email me and I'll try to get some set up (formally or informally).
