I think you are right on top of it!  I agree 100%.

To allow copywrite theft is ethically a violation of publishing's common
values.  The copywrite protection laws have been created for a reason.  It is
an injustice to plagiarize someone elses work.  It's that simple; use your
own creativity and time - if you have any of either.
