Dear Listers,

I have an odd request that hopefully someone will be able to help with.  A
few years ago there was some media fuss that Sherwood Forest (ala Robin
Hood) was dying and little regeneration was occurring.  In an attempt to
resolve this problem a massive effort was being directed into cloning from
the existing forest.  Purely to satisfy my own curiosity can anyone firstly
clarify this and secondly tell me of results, on going progress etc. Any
information would be of great help.
