I am trying to update my forestry resource books. I shouldn't admit this but my shelves are still stocked with Avery's "Forest Measurements", Harlow and Harrar's "Textbook of Dendrology", Smith's "Practice of Silviculture". Badly out of date I know... It would aid me greatly if some of you members would select a favorite forestry reference book and post name and author. I know this is like asking to describe world history in a paragraph, but humor me. Also, I would like a reference or work that would be of special value to a forest landowner with little forestry experience - like Vardaman's "How to Make Money Growing Trees".
