ETFRN and Tropenbos homepages

Dear colleagues,

Both the Tropenbos Foundation and the European Tropical Forest Research Network
(ETFRN) are pleased to announce their new internet websites.

The Tropenbos Foundation website (at http://www.tropenbos.nl) displays
information on the current research activities of the Tropenbos Foundation at
its permanent research sites in Cameroon, Colombia, Côte d'Ivoire, Guyana and
Kalimantan, Indonesia. Additionally other useful scientific information is
given (among others the list of publications of the Tropenbos Foundation).

ETFRN aims to provide a European local point to contribute to the improvement
of information exchange in tropical forest research activities at the
international level.
The ETFRN website (at http://www.etfrn.org) gives general information on ETFRN,
contains a calender of meetings in the field of tropical forest research. It
also links through to the ETFRN National Nodes, other organizations and
databases relevant for tropical forest research.

Soon this site will be extended with a database on European intitutes involved
in tropical forestry research and their main research subjects and regions.

You are welcome to visiti these sites and use the presented information,
provided the source is quoted.

For comments and suggestions please contact the internet manager Jelle Maas at
