CALL FOR PAPERS: 1998 SYMPOSIUM ON SPATIAL ACCURACY ASSESSMENT The Third International Symposium on Spatial Accuracy Assessment in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences will be held May 20 to 22, 1998 at the Loews Concorde Hotel in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Papers are solicited on important aspects of spatial data accuracy, with a particular emphasis on natural resources and environmental applications. Past conferences have drawn individuals internationally from numerous disciplines and points of view -- remote sensing, spatial statistics, geographic information systems, stochastic simulation, the Global Positioning System, spatial interpolation, error propagation, and application domains such as forestry, landscape architecture, biodiversity, urban environments, and others. Papers on these and any aspect of data quality associated with spatial data bases and all other related subjects will be considered. Presentations and posters for the Symposium will be selected based on abstracts submitted. Authors should send, fax or e-mail a title, contact information including e-mail, and a 200 word abstract with 3 to 5 key-words. Information should be sent by August 15, 1997. Acceptances and instructions to authors will be sent by October 15, 1997. Final camera-ready papers will be due January 31, 1998. More information may be obtained from: 3rd Spatial Accuracy Symposium, Centre de recherche en geomatique, 0722 Pavillon Casault, Universite Laval, Quebec G1K 7P4 CANADA; tele.
