Greetings to all, as a part of my phd I need to find or write a single-tree forest growth model framework, which I propose to distort and examine in various ways. According to the (possibly self-serving) literature I've read, the object-oriented language C++ would be ideal for such a model, especially due to its ease of extension. I wonder, therefore, if anyone in this list has, or knows of someone who has, considered such a forest growth model in C++ or some object-oriented equivalent. I am interested in sharing code and/or ideas and/or advice. I would also be interested in communicating with anyone who might have any use for such a framework in the future, and wants to contribute suggestions or ideas. Please respond directly to me. I will post a summary of replies to the group.
