Leakey, A.T. Temu, M. Melnyk and P.Vantomme, FAO Non-Wood Forest Products, No9, 297p. Available from FAO, Distribution and sales Section, Viale delle Terme di Caracalla, 00100 Rome, Italy. This is the proceedings of a Conference held at ICRAF in Nairobi in February 1996. One of the purposes of the conference was to start dialogue between agricultural/forestry researchers and the food, pharmaceutical and other industries, so that the domestication processes for an array of of NTFP could take into account the needs of industry. Secondly, there is a need to stimulate markets for the species being domesticated and industry is invited to make contact with Roger Leakey (r.leakey@ite.ac.uk) to discuss how this might be achieved. Relevant publications are: Leakey, R.R.B. and Izac, A-M.N. (1996). Linkages between domestication and commercializatio of non-timber forest products: Implications for agroforestry. In: Domestication and Commercialization of Non-timber Foret Products in Agroforestry Systems (Eds. R.R.B. Leakey, A.T. Temu, M. Melnyk and P. Vantomme) 1-7, Non-Wood Forest Products, No 9, Fao, Rome.
