To interested members of the Forest List only, Exchange of information wanted on the following: 1) Reporting/statistical systems for forestry/reforestation and timber trade production. 2) Input and output statistics in timber products manufacturing. 3) Inter-secretarial Working Group on forest statistics i.e. FAO, ECE, Eurostat, OECD, etc... 4) Ground tools/inventory systems i.e. GPS and GIS. 5) Role of IT in tropical forestry and the timber trade. Coverage includes: forest resources, timber product trade/industry, economic and social indicators. The purpose is to facilitate a collaborative I have with ITTO.
