1. Yes the FMDSS-L list is active.
2. Subscriptions are managed automatically by the request
   server. To add your name to the subscription list send a message to
   <FMDSS-REQUEST@SPATIAL.CA> with a subject line containing the single
   word:    SUBSCRIBE

   After your subscription request has been processed you will be sent
   confirmation that your name has been added to the list.

   Membership in this group is open to everyone. Any message related to
   the area of decision support system and information systems for forest
   management planning is suitable for posting to this group.  This and
   much more information is available from:
