             11TH CENTRAL HARDWOOD FOREST CONFERENCE

                       March 23-26, 1997
                University of Missouri- Columbia
                      Columbia, Missouri USA

   The objective of this conference is to bring together forest managers
and scientists to discuss research and issues concerning management of
forests in the Central Hardwood Region. This year's meeting will have a
plenary session on issues relating to the future of Central Hardwood
forests from both ecological and economic perspectives. Speakers will
include researchers and managers from the public and private sector.
