My name is PHILIP JONES.  I am a Forester employed by Cater Holt Harvey
Forests in New Zealand.

I am currently working on a number of projects including the areas of:

        *LOG BUCKING OPTIMISATION TOOLS
        *ELECTRONIC DATA AQUISITION from REMOTE SITES
        *PRODUCTION PLANNING and CONTROL SYSTEMS and TOOLS
        *HARVEST OPTIMISATION and ALLOCATION TOOLS

I am interested in starting up discussions with people working in similar
fields to swap theories, ideas, problems, and potentially software and
hardware solutions.

I am planning an EDUCATIONAL STUDY TRIP to EUROPE in OCTOBER of 1996. I
am very interested in meeting anyone who is working in this field; to
look at hardware and software solutions with and be shown around for a
day or two. Solutions may be under development or already implemented. I
am looking to meet people from the forest industry, technology componies,
research and eductional organisations.
