To members of the Forest List,

The March, 1996, issue of Tropical Forest Update by ITTO dealt quite
extensively on forest fire in the tropics.

Is there anyone on the list who is collating information on forest fire
for the web ? I would like to hear from you. If not. Could METLA create
an additional category on Forest Fires for the WWW Virtual Library on
Forestry ? Covering the causes, management, prevention, detection,
monitoring of forest fire, as well as, rehabitation of burnt-out
forests - boreal, temperate, tropical, mangroves, peat, etc...

One resource found thus far is the ASEAN Fire Weather Information System
by the Canadian Forest Service at:
