Pacific Lumber Company currently has a Logging Road Engineer position opening.
The following attached job annoucement outlines the duties and requirements of the
position.

Position: Logging Road Engineer

Responsibilities:
        1.  Coordinate design and location of long term transportation network on approximately                              200,000 acres of commercial timberland in Humboldt County, California.
        2.  Maintain and enforce company road construction and maintenance standards on all
             logging roads.
        3.  Administer construction and maintenance operations to comply with road standards to
                   provide hydrologically stable and efficient roads.
        4. Educate equipment operators, field foresters and timber operators in techniques to
                  locate, construct and maintain effective roads which minimize sediment impacts to
             watersheds.
        5.  Provide engineering expertise for design of roads in critical areas.
        6.  Perform economic analysis of transportation options for management decisions.

Qualifications:
        1.  BS or higher degree in a forestry or engineering related fields with an emphasis on
                   forest roads.
        2.  Five years or more experience in forestry operations emphasizing logging production
                   and road location and design.
        3.  Ability to perform economic analysis of transportation alternatives.
        4.  Familiarity with California forest regulatory system preferred.  RPF, a plus.
        5.  Effective oral and written communication skills.
        6.  Ability to educate effectively.
        7.  Ability to supervise a variety of individuals in a firm and fair manner.
        8.  Self motivated and creative .
