Jean Pierre, These trees can be used in MDF production. I am sure that you will find lots of academic works about properties of Acacia and Albizia and their use as MDF or pulp. The problem is that one needs lots of money (millions of dollars) to build a paper or a MDF mill and very seldom African or American communities have money to structure these mills. Besides, usually when you have a pulp or MDF factory buying wood, farmers don't get much more than they would get if they sell wood as firewood. I never saw an Albizia and never worried about it, but if you think about Acacia mangium or A. mearnzii perhaps you should focus your work on the possibilities of producing fodder, timber together with fire wood, charcoal and tanin and try to add value locally. I mean, farmers should sell sawn timber and produce charcoal instead of selling logs.
